Catch Them Forward Initiative

You’ve been caught. Now, when you can, catch someone else forward.

Catch Them Forward is an OCTY initiative created to turn assistance into a living chain of responsibility. When a person receives help, mentorship, support, training, emergency assistance, or opportunity, they are encouraged to help another person in the future.

The Catch Token

A symbol of admission, support, accountability, and future service.

The Catch Token is the program symbol for Catch Them Forward. It may be physical or digital. It represents that someone has been supported, admitted into a program pathway, or connected to assistance. The token is not meant to be kept forever. Its meaning is completed when the recipient helps another person forward.

This initiative belongs to Oluwaseyi Olawore and Operation Catch Them Young as part of OCTY’s public-service mission.

How the system works

The Catch Them Forward lifecycle.

1. Receive

You are caught

A person, family, youth, woman in labor, or urgent case receives support, mentorship, referral help, training access, or assistance through OCTY or an OCTY-connected helper.

2. Activate

The token is registered

The person may register a token ID, intake category, who helped them, and a short impact note so OCTY can track support safely and responsibly.

3. Grow

Support becomes progress

The recipient uses the support to access training, guidance, resources, referrals, education, emergency support, or next-step assistance.

4. Catch Forward

The recipient helps another person

When able, the person helps someone else through mentorship, kindness, referral, community service, skill sharing, donation, or another appropriate act of support.

Intake pathways

Who Catch Them Forward may support.

OCTY intake should remain human-reviewed. Support depends on urgency, safety, resources, eligibility, available partners, verification, and nonprofit capacity.

Youth

Children and youth ages 0–18

Mentoring, school support, technology access, training pathways, referrals, family support, special-needs support, and community guidance.

Emergency need

Women in labor without enough money

Human-reviewed urgent referral and support pathways for pregnant women or women in labor who need immediate assistance, safety guidance, or connection to help.

Urgent health-related need

Very sick people needing desperate assistance

Referral-oriented assistance for urgent cases, with clear boundaries: OCTY does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace emergency medical care.

Community support

Families and vulnerable community members

Support requests may include education needs, technology access, equipment needs, family guidance, food/resource referrals, and crisis-navigation support.

Important safety note: Catch Them Forward is not an emergency medical service. For life-threatening emergencies, call local emergency services immediately. OCTY can help with human-reviewed referrals, education, support pathways, and community coordination where available.

Future intake system

Planned intake and token tracking.

Token registry: Token ID, recipient name, contact method, category of need, and who caught them forward.
Impact note: A short statement explaining what support was received and what next step is needed.
Human review: OCTY reviews urgency, safety, suitability, privacy, and available support before action.
Chain tracker: Future token handoffs may show a privacy-safe chain of assistance without exposing sensitive personal information.
Catch Forward requirement: When appropriate, participants are encouraged to help another person and pass the meaning of the token forward.
